Document Conversion Service

Info about Document Conversion

The Document Conversion Service provides students approved for this accommodation with three types (audio, enlarged text, Braille) of accessible course reading materials in three formats (recorded audio, electronic text, and Braille). Students eligible for document conversion need to attend a training session before using the service.

Deadlines for Submitting On-Time Requests for the Document Conversion Service
Semester Materials are to be Used Due Date for On-Time Requests Notes
Spring 2017 Tuesday, December 6, 2016 Spring semester turn-around is very short, especially with the holidays. It is imperative that students make advising appointments early and begin contacting their instructors and submitting requests as soon as they register.
Summer 2017 (4 week session starting May 15, 2017) Monday, April 3, 2017 Students should begin contacting their instructors and submitting requests as soon as they register.
Summer 2017 (3 week session starting May 30, 2017) Tuesday, April 18, 2017 Students should begin contacting their instructors and submitting requests as soon as they register.
Summer 2017 (8 week session starting  June 19, 2017) Monday, May 8, 2017 Students should begin contacting their instructors and submitting requests as soon as they register.
Fall 2017 Wednesday, July 26, 2017 Students should begin contacting their instructors and submitting requests as soon as they register.
  • Requests submitted at least six (6) weeks prior to the start of class will be converted to alternative formats and be made available prior to the syllabus due date.
  • Materials submitted after this 6 week deadline will be processed and made available once on-time requests have been fulfilled.
