latest in assistive computer technologies, as well as hands-on wheelchair maintenance workshops.
Promote a more welcoming environment for the LGBT community by attending Ally Festival on Wednesday, October 8, from
10 am to 3 pm at Library Mall. There will be games, music, information and more!

Disability Mentoring Day on Wednesday, October 15! This
event allows students to design their own tours by choosing from many fields including computer sciences,

is hosting a Q-Jima Diversity Experience on Sunday,

The Understanding Privilege Retreat will take place on November 7-9, 2008. This free event is open to all UW-Madison students.
It will provide an opportunity for about 50 students to explore issues of social identity, particularly

Plan ahead! In early February 2009, a representative from the Department of Labor will visit UW-Madison
and conduct a series of 30-minute interviews with students who have disabilities for prospective summer
internship opportunities located throughout the United States. Visit the

Finance/Accounting Internships: On October 24, 2008, the 3M Finance recruiting team is visiting UW-Madison
to interview students for summer internships. To be considered for an interview, you must first submit an
application and be selected by 3M. If you are interested in participating in this interview opportunity,

The American Academy for the Advancement of Science’s Entry Point Program will be conducting interviews at UW-Madison's
Union South on November 3 from 9 am until 5 pm. Midwest Alliance for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) staff
invite students to bring a lunch and join them for a presentation from 11:45 am until 1 pm.

A senior design project team of mechanical engineering students are designing a wheelchair attachment that will
allow users to climb over curbs. They need feedback about the aspects of the product that are important to the
customer and are requesting help from anyone who would be affected or helped by this product. Please
