McBurney Reminders
Please check your requests for notetaking services to
ensure that all of your requests were entered correctly. You should see a message to the right of each request that shows
the number of upcoming service events and service events completed. We have had a problem in the past with the request
process for classes that do not have times listed in the Timetable (e.g., video and web-based classes). If you have
problems submitting requests, email the Notetaking Service Coordinator
immediately. Students need to submit all notetaking requests
by September 12 (end of the second week of classes) to receive notes from the first day of class forward. If you
submit a request later, you will receive notes only from the day of the request forward.
Discuss test accommodations with faculty no later than September 19 (end of third week of classes). For more information,
see the Test Accommodations web site.
Submit your Adaptive Technology Scholarship Application by October 15. The new application will be on McBurney's web site
no later than September 19.
Submit your Foreign Language Substitution Package to Room 70, Bascom Hall, by 4:15pm on Friday, September 26. If you have
questions, please contact your McBurney accommodations specialist.
Need help with issues like time management, notetaking, organizing papers and projects, and preparing for exams? Make an appointment

Obtain leadership experience for your resume, have fun, and make a difference

New students who are interested in the organization, and former members who'd like to

Elections for leadership positions are planned for November to allow current leaders to mentor new leaders throughout
the spring semester.

Don't request all the accommodations you need? Many students do not seek out any or all accommodations
they need in college. Baylor University staff are conducting a research to examine why and invite you
to take their ten minute survey.
They state that all responses will remain completely anonymous and confidential.
A senior design project team of mechanical engineering students are designing a wheelchair attachment that will
allow users to climb over curbs. They need feedback about the aspects of the product that are important to the
customer and are requesting help from anyone who would be affected or helped by this product. Please
email B.A. Scheuers if you'd be willing to answer a brief survey.
